Category: Cisco Devices, Network Interfaces, SNMP Framework, VLAN and Bridging
Description: Declares agent capabilities for SVI (Switched Virtual Interface) autostate tracking feature management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring support for CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-MIB, which manages the SVI (Switched Virtual Interface) autostate-tracking feature that automatically brings an SVI down when all of its associated physical ports are down. It belongs to Cisco's Layer 2/Layer 3 switching feature area. It contains only capability declarations with no runtime data objects of its own. As a conformance module it does not expose interface state, counters, or hardware-health data directly — that lives in the referenced SVI autostate MIB — its role is purely to describe which autostate-tracking features a platform supports. It is fully dependent on CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-MIB, and the CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-CAPABILITY MIB itself is used by management systems during capability discovery against Cisco Catalyst switches using SVI autostate tracking.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-CAPABILITY has no sample runtime objects (sample_objects is empty); it consists solely of AGENT-CAPABILITIES clauses mapping supported features of CISCO-SVI-AUTOSTATE-MIB to platform/release. There is no monitoring scenario for this module itself — it exists only so an NMS can confirm SVI autostate feature support before relying on the underlying MIB's interface-state objects.
