cmVirtContextResourceClass
Module: CISCO-MODULE-VIRTUALIZATION-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-MODULE-VIRTUALIZATION-MIB::cmVirtContextResourceClass
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.472.1.1.1.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CiscoResourceClass
Access: read-write
Description: This object is used for assigning a resource class to a context. The resource class contains information on the resources that are managed/applicable to a context. The type of resources that may be applicable are governed by the CiscoResourceClass TEXTUAL CONVENTION. This object value must correspond to an entry in cmResourceClassTable.
What is cmVirtContextResourceClass?
This object assigns a named resource class, defined elsewhere in cmResourceClassTable, to a virtual context, governing what share of shared hardware resources, like CPU, memory, or connection limits, that particular context is entitled to use. It matters because on a module hosting multiple virtual contexts for different tenants or departments, this is the actual lever controlling whether one noisy context can starve the others of resources. An admin provisioning a high-traffic customer context might assign it a 'gold' resource class while lower-priority contexts get a 'bronze' class with tighter caps.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.472.1.1.1.1.4 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-MODULE-VIRTUALIZATION-MIB::cmVirtContextResourceClass
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.472.1.1.1.1.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-MODULE-VIRTUALIZATION-MIB::cmVirtContextResourceClass.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.472.1.1.1.1.4.1 s <value>
