What Is CISCO-ITP-MSU-RATES-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-ITP-MSU-RATES-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module declaring which parts of the CISCO-ITP-MSU-RATES-MIB -- a MIB for SS7 (Signaling System 7) Message Signal Unit rate statistics on Cisco ITP (Internet Transfer Point) signaling gateways -- are implemented on a given Cisco platform/software release. It defines no runtime data objects itself, only the supported-feature mapping for the MSU rate statistics feature. As a pure conformance statement it contributes nothing directly to hardware or software health monitoring; it has no counters, alarms, or status objects of its own. It depends entirely on the underlying CISCO-ITP-MSU-RATES-MIB, whose MSU (signaling traffic) rate-statistics objects it qualifies for support. Such capability modules are used by NMS/MIB-compiler tooling to confirm SS7 signaling statistics feature support on Cisco ITP signaling gateway deployments rather than for live polling.
