Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-IMAGE-LICENSE-MGMT-MIB?

CISCO-IMAGE-LICENSE-MGMT-MIB is a Cisco Systems Inc. proprietary MIB managing image-level licensing — the mechanism where a single universal software image contains all feature packages, and the device boots at the highest licensed level to enable the corresponding features. Its objects cover a boot-image-level table (module name, current/configured-boot/next-boot image level, current/next-boot license-store and license index), an image-level-to-license-map table (index, image level, license name/priority), an EULA-accepted flag, and image-level-changed/boot-image-level-changed notifications. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which licensed image level a Cisco device is running and will boot to next. It is deployed on Cisco Systems network equipment (image-level licensing). Engineers can download the CISCO-IMAGE-LICENSE-MGMT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-IMAGE-LICENSE-MGMT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Systems network equipment (image-level licensing)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cilmCurrentImageLevel and cilmNextBootImageLevel to confirm which licensed feature level a Cisco device is running and will boot to next.

What Can Be Monitored
