What Is CISCO-IETF-PW-TC-MIB?
CISCO-IETF-PW-TC-MIB is a Cisco module providing textual conventions and OBJECT-IDENTITY definitions supporting pseudowire (PW) emulation services, aligning with IETF pseudowire standards for carrying Layer 2 traffic (e.g. Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay) over a packet-switched network. It defines shared types such as PW encoding types and operational-state enumerations rather than live data objects, standardizing how pseudowire status is represented across Cisco's PW-related MIBs. Although it is TC-only and exposes no runtime data directly, the operational-state and encoding-type conventions it defines are exactly what consuming MIBs use to report whether a pseudowire is up, down, or degraded - core to fault monitoring of MPLS/PW services. It underlies and is imported by Cisco's pseudowire/MPLS-PW functional MIBs, paralleling the IETF PW-STD-MIB conventions.
