ccasRSTIncFwdPulseOnTimer
Module: CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB::ccasRSTIncFwdPulseOnTimer
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.314.1.5.2.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Gauge
Access: read-write
Description: This object specifies the period for which the forward digit pulse can be on. The timer is started after the forward digit signal is received, and stays on until the forward digit being received is turned off. This object applies to incoming R2 registers where the forward signals are received as pulses for non-compelled signaling.
What is ccasRSTIncFwdPulseOnTimer?
This sets, for incoming R2 registers using non-compelled pulse signaling, how long a received forward digit pulse is allowed to stay on, the timer starts when the pulse begins and runs until the pulse is detected as turned off. This is the receive-side companion to ccasRSTOutFwdPulseOnTimer, so an admin pairing gateways from different vendors needs both ends' pulse-on timing to agree, since this incoming timer is what actually validates whether a received pulse's duration is acceptable. If an incoming pulse is received but held on for longer than this timer allows, the gateway may reject it as an invalid digit rather than a legitimate dialed pulse.
