ccasLSTSeizeAckRspTimer
Module: CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB::ccasLSTSeizeAckRspTimer
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.314.1.3.3.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Gauge
Access: read-write
Description: This object specifies the maximum amount of time MG will wait for reception of seize ack signal. Seize Ack signal is expected in response of seize signal. This object is applied for both R2 CAS and non R2 CAS.
What is ccasLSTSeizeAckRspTimer?
This sets the maximum time the gateway waits to receive a seize-acknowledgment signal in response to its own seize signal, and unlike several other CAS timers in this table, it applies to both R2 and non-R2 CAS trunks. A seize attempt that never gets acknowledged within this window typically means the far end is unavailable or the trunk has a signaling fault, so this timer is what turns a silent, unresponsive seizure attempt into an actionable call-failure event rather than a hang. With this timer set to 3 seconds, a seize sent on a non-R2 CAS trunk that receives no seize-ack within that window would be declared failed, freeing the gateway to retry on another trunk member.
