Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies which tone plan the DS0 group is using for playing the tones.

What is ccasIfExtVoiceCfgTonePlan?

This selects the index of the tone plan, the country/region-specific set of dial tone, busy tone, and ringback frequencies and cadences, that this DS0 group uses when playing tones to callers. Because tone plans encode region-specific audio signaling conventions, a mismatched value here causes callers to hear unfamiliar or wrong-sounding tones, such as a US-style busy cadence on a trunk serving European subscribers, which is a common misconfiguration symptom when trunks are provisioned for the wrong country. An admin deploying a gateway for a UK-based trunk group would set this to the index corresponding to the UK tone plan rather than the North American default, so subscribers hear the expected ringback cadence.
