Module: CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB::ccasILSSignalName
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.314.1.3.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SnmpAdminString
Access: read-only
Description: This object indicates CAS signal name corresponding to the ccasILSSignalNameIndex. The media gateway uses ccasILSRxPattern along with following objects: ccasILSMatchedRxPattern ccasILSMatchedTxPattern ccasILSMinMakeTime ccasILSMaxMakeTime ccasILSMinBreakTime ccasILSMaxBreakTime to determine a ccasILSSignalName.
What is ccasILSSignalName?
This reports the human-readable CAS signal name, such as 'seize' or 'answer', that the gateway has matched against the incoming ABCD line-signal bit pattern, derived by comparing ccasILSRxPattern against the configured make/break timing objects for that signal. This is effectively the decoded result of the gateway's line-signal state machine, so an admin debugging why a trunk is not recognizing a particular signaling event can read this object to see exactly which named signal, if any, the current bit pattern has been classified as. On an R2 trunk, this object might read 'seize' while the raw ABCD pattern is 0001, confirming the gateway correctly interpreted an incoming call-seizure attempt rather than treating it as noise.
