Description: This object specifies the amount of time that the GW must wait for receiving digits after generating the seize ACK or start dial indication for an incoming call. The value of 0 indicates the timer will not be started and GW would wait forever.

What is ccasGCnfStartTimer?

This sets how long the gateway waits, after issuing a seize acknowledgment or start-dial indication, for the calling party to begin sending digits on an incoming call, with 0 meaning it waits indefinitely. This is the general-configuration equivalent of ccasLSTSeizeAckToDigitTimer but scoped to the broader digit-collection start rather than strictly R2 seize-ack timing, and like that timer, leaving it at 0 on a busy trunk risks channels being tied up waiting for digits that never arrive. With this set to 8 seconds, an incoming call that receives a start-dial indication but sends no digits within 8 seconds would have that attempt abandoned by the gateway rather than held open indefinitely.
