Module: CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB::ccasGCnfIncCallNegTwist

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.314.1.6.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies a negative power twist when the power level of the low frequency component is set to relatively higher than the high frequency component for incoming call.

What is ccasGCnfIncCallNegTwist?

This sets the negative-twist value applied when the low-frequency signaling component's power is configured relatively higher than the high-frequency component, for incoming calls. Power twist between the two tones is a known factor affecting detector reliability on real trunk lines with frequency-dependent attenuation, so this object lets an admin compensate for a specific line's tendency to attenuate one frequency more than the other. On a trunk where cable characteristics attenuate the high-frequency tone more than the low, an admin might configure a negative twist value here to pre-compensate, keeping both tones arriving at comparable power at the far end.
