Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CASForwardSignal

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies a forward signal indicating that there are no ANI digits available for out pulsing. The default value is country specific.

What is ccasFwdRSANIDigitNotAvailable?

This object specifies the forward signal indicating that no ANI digits are available to be sent out at all, the negative counterpart to ccasFwdRSANIDigitAvailable. This tells the terminating exchange to stop waiting for caller-ID digits that will never come, which prevents the far end's digit-collection timer from timing out unnecessarily and matters for how quickly a call without caller ID can proceed to completion. A call originating from a line that simply has no ANI capability provisioned would trigger this forward signal, letting the terminating exchange move on without caller ID rather than waiting out a full digit-collection timeout.
