OID (symbolic): CISCO-CAS-IF-EXT-MIB::ccasFwdRSANIDigitAvailable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.314.1.4.1.1.34

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CASForwardSignal

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies a forward signal indicating that ANI digits are available. This is used in country variants like India to indicate that the ANI digits are available when the backward signal requesting for ANI digits is received, before pulsing out the actual ANI digits. The default value is country specific.

What is ccasFwdRSANIDigitAvailable?

This object specifies the forward signal the originating gateway sends to indicate ANI digits are available, used specifically in country variants like India to announce availability before the actual ANI digits are pulsed out. This is an explicit heads-up step some R2 variants require before digit transmission even begins, so on variants that need it, omitting or misconfiguring this signal would leave the terminating exchange unprepared to receive ANI digits when they do arrive. On an India-variant R2 trunk, the gateway sends this forward signal upon receiving the backward request for ANI digits, confirming availability before pulsing out the caller's actual number.
