Description: This object specifies a backward signal requesting transmission of the previous ANI or DNIS digit (n - 1) after reception of digit n. The default value is country specific.
What is ccasBwdRSPrevDigit?
This object specifies the backward signal used to ask the far end to resend the previous ANI or DNIS digit, digit n-1, rather than advance to the next one. This is a recovery mechanism for digit collection: if the gateway suspects it misread a digit, it can request a repeat of the last one instead of restarting the whole digit sequence, which specifically limits how much re-signaling a partial error costs. If digit 5 of a DNIS sequence arrives garbled, the gateway can send this signal to have the far end retransmit digit 5 rather than the entire dialed number.
