This object specifies the backward signal used to request the country code indicator digit(s) as part of R2 register signaling for an international call. This signal is specifically what triggers the far end to begin sending the country-code portion of a dialed international number, so its absence or misconfiguration on international trunks would cause the gateway to never receive the digits needed to route calls outside the local country. On an international R2 trunk, the gateway would send this signal early in register signaling to pull the destination country code before requesting the rest of the national number.
