Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies a backward signal requesting for a calling party category information or a Group II signal. The default value is country specific.

What is ccasBwdRSCallingPartyCategory?

This object specifies the backward signal used to request the calling party's category, information such as whether the caller is an ordinary subscriber, a priority subscriber, or an operator, sent as an R2 Group II signal. This signal drives whether a caller's line gets tagged with priority or billing-relevant category information on the far end, so a misconfigured value here can cause a gateway to either never ask for this classification or ask at the wrong point in the register sequence. On a call from an operator-assisted line, the far end would respond to this request with a specific category digit indicating 'operator', which downstream billing or routing logic can then act on.
