This reports the actual operational state of the IGMP query engine for this service: active when it's enabled and genuinely generating queries, inactive when enabled but not currently active, for example because an external router's queries are already handling that role, or disabled entirely. An admin relying on this device's proxy query engine to maintain multicast state would want to see active here; seeing inactive when they expected active could indicate an external router unexpectedly took over the querier role. A value of disabled would mean the engine isn't even administratively configured to run, regardless of network conditions.
