Description: Specifies the state of the power supply.

What is cienaCesChassisPowerSupplyState?

This reports the current operational state of one specific power supply slot in the chassis, distinguishing a healthy, actively powering unit from one that is physically present but has failed, one that is present but administratively or electrically not supplying power, and a slot with no power supply installed at all. This is one of the most safety-critical status fields on a chassis with redundant power supplies, since a state transition from online to faulted on one supply, even if the chassis keeps running fine on its remaining supply, means the redundancy that was protecting against a full power loss is now gone until that unit is replaced. An admin monitoring this object across all supply slots would treat any transition into faulted as an urgent hardware-replacement ticket, distinct from the more routine uninstalled reading on a slot that was never populated in a non-fully-redundant deployment.
