An admin treats a degraded I2CHealthState as a red flag affecting the trustworthiness of many other readings on that card, since temperature, transceiver, and inventory data are commonly read over I2C, and a bus fault can make those other objects report stale or garbage values. For example, an unhealthy I2CHealthState on a line card whose transceiver readings suddenly all freeze at the same value would explain why those readings stopped updating.
