Description: This variable always returns a single blank character upon reading. When set to any other value, the enforce rule penalty count in cadEnforceRuleCountsTable whose SCN matches that value is cleared.
What is cadMacClearPenaltyCountScn?
This write-only control object clears the penalty count for enforce rules matching a specified Service Class Name (SCN) in a CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System). Reading it always returns a blank character; writing any value triggers the penalty counter reset for the matching SCN. An operator uses this to reset traffic enforcement penalties for specific service classes without restarting the system.
