What Is CADANT-PRODUCTS-MIB?
CADANT-PRODUCTS-MIB is a registration MIB from ARRIS (formerly Cadant) that defines the product-identification OID tree for the Cadant/ARRIS C4, C3, and E6000 Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) hardware platforms. It contains only OID branches (cadObjects, cadProducts, cadCable, cadSystem, cadNotification, cadEquipment) used by other Cadant MIBs to register their sysObjectID values and managed objects, rather than exposing runtime data itself. As a pure product-registry module it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; that is handled by the companion Cadant system, cable, and equipment MIBs that attach beneath these branches. It is a structural dependency for the full suite of Cadant/ARRIS CMTS MIBs (cable, system, equipment, notification modules). It is used in headend and hub-site deployments wherever ARRIS/Cadant CMTS chassis are managed via SNMP, and locating a specific CADANT-PRODUCTS-MIB OID typically means finding one of these product-registration branches rather than a data-bearing object.

Monitoring Examples
This module contains only registration nodes (cadObjects, cadProducts, cadCable, cadSystem, cadNotification, cadEquipment) and no scalars, tables, or traps of its own, so there is no direct monitoring scenario. Its purpose is to give the actual Cadant cable, system, and equipment MIBs a consistent product-identification OID to register sysObjectID and managed objects under.
