Description: Top-level enterprise OID registration MIB for bintec elmeg devices, defining the namespace hierarchy for ISDN, IP, ATM, VPN, IPSec, QoS, ADSL, VoIP, and WLAN subsystems

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BINTEC-MIB?

BINTEC-MIB is a legacy BinTec Communications (enterprise OID 272) proprietary MIB defining the base branch reporting a device's physical (MAC) address, with no further objects defined in this iteration. As a minimal structural MIB it registers the enterprise OID under which companion BinTec MIBs are filed. It underlies legacy BinTec Communications routers. Engineers can download the BINTEC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BINTEC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy BinTec Communications routers

Monitoring Examples

A MIB browser loads BINTEC-MIB automatically when parsing a companion BinTec MIB, resolving the OID branch those modules' objects are registered under.
