What Is BENU-TWAG-STATS-MIB?

BENU-TWAG-STATS-MIB reports operational statistics for the Trusted WLAN Access Gateway (TWAG) function on Benu Networks wireless access gateway platforms, used in Wi-Fi/cellular interworking (S2a, GTP, PMIPv6) deployments. It exposes counts of active GTP tunnels, current and pre-authenticated subscriber sessions across secure SSID/S2a and Gn/Gp interfaces, PMIPv6 tunnel counts, and interval-based traffic packet counters. As a stats-only MIB it gauges the software health and capacity load of the gateway, where subscriber/tunnel counts approaching provisioned limits or a sudden drop in active tunnels can indicate a signaling failure or capacity exhaustion. It builds on 3GPP interworking concepts (GTP, PMIPv6) rather than IETF standard MIBs, reflecting its telecom-specific protocol stack. It is typically deployed in mobile operator or enterprise Wi-Fi offload networks where a TWAG anchors trusted WLAN subscriber sessions, and operators can download the BENU-TWAG-STATS-MIB file to load into their monitoring systems.
