Category: RADIUS and AAA, Vendor: Benu Networks

Description: Manages RADIUS authentication and accounting server configuration and statistics on Benu Networks gateways.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BENU-RADIUS-MIB?

BENU-RADIUS-MIB is a Benu Networks proprietary MIB reporting RADIUS AAA-client statistics on Benu Wireless Access Gateway (WAG) platforms. Its authentication-server table, keyed by server index, records address type/address, a statistics-interval duration, and per-interval counts of Access-Request sent, Access-Accept/Reject/Challenge received, resent/dropped/timed-out/failed-to-send requests, peak pending-request count, malformed-response and bad-authenticator counts, a server-marked-dead flag, min/max/average/last authentication latency, and the associated AAA group name, with a parallel proxy-server table. As a performance/status MIB it lets an administrator watch RADIUS authentication latency and dead-server detection to diagnose slow or failed subscriber logins. It is deployed on Benu Networks Wireless Access Gateway platforms. Engineers can download the BENU-RADIUS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BENU-RADIUS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Benu Networks Wireless Access Gateway platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks bRadiusAuthLatencyAvg and bRadiusAccessServerMarkedDead to diagnose slow or failing subscriber authentication on a Benu Networks WAG platform.

What Can Be Monitored

  • RADIUS authentication latency and server health
