Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AcPerfMediaGateway?

AcPerfMediaGateway defines enterprise-specific performance-monitoring objects for AudioCodes media gateways, devices that convert between TDM/PSTN and IP/VoIP media streams. Its objects are grouped into three MIB trees covering control-protocol performance (acPerfCp), RTP media-stream performance (acPerfRtp), and overall network-element system performance (acPerfSystem), spanning call-signaling, media-quality, and system-level performance categories. It is used to monitor software/service health on the gateway — control-protocol counters would reveal call-signaling failures or delays, RTP counters would reveal channel/bearer media-quality problems, and system-level counters would reflect overall gateway load and resource utilization. It depends on the AudioCodes enterprise MIB suite and general VoIP/RTP protocol concepts (RTP, SIP/H.323 signaling) rather than standard IETF MIBs directly. It is deployed in enterprise and carrier VoIP networks where AudioCodes media gateways bridge legacy telephony trunks to IP-based voice infrastructure, typically monitored by loading the AcPerfMediaGateway into a MIB Browser alongside the broader AudioCodes enterprise MIB suite.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AcPerfMediaGateway. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes media gateway

Monitoring Examples

No specific object or table names were present in the sampled source for this MIB, so concrete leaf objects cannot be cited; however, based on its documented structure an admin would poll objects under acPerfRtp to check RTP stream/channel utilization and quality, under acPerfCp to check control-protocol (call-signaling) performance, and under acPerfSystem for overall gateway resource/performance statistics. A spike in control-protocol errors alongside high channel utilization would indicate the gateway is approaching capacity or experiencing signaling problems. This is inferred from the module's documented tree structure rather than from specific sampled object names.

What Can Be Monitored

  • control protocol (call signaling) performance
  • RTP stream/channel utilization
  • bearer connection metrics
  • overall system/network element performance
