Description: Monitors media services performance metrics on AudioCodes devices including transcoding, conferencing, and tone generation statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AcPerfMediaServices?

AcPerfMediaServices is AudioCodes' performance-management MIB for measuring media-processing services on its VoIP/media gateway products. Per its module description, it groups performance counters into four service areas -- acPerfIvr (interactive voice response), acPerfBct (blind call transfer), acPerfConf (conferencing), and acPerfTt (test trunk) -- each tracking statistics specific to that media function. This is a runtime performance-counter MIB: it primarily monitors software service load and throughput (how heavily IVR, transcoding, conferencing, or tone-generation resources are being used) rather than raw hardware component health. As an AudioCodes enterprise-specific performance module it likely depends on the vendor's broader AcGateway/system MIB tree for device identity and channel context. It is deployed on AudioCodes media gateways and session border controllers in VoIP networks where administrators need visibility into per-service media-processing load, and the AcPerfMediaServices download is available from AudioCodes as part of its device MIB package for loading into a MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AcPerfMediaServices. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes VoIP media gateway
  • AudioCodes session border controller

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polls counters under the acPerfConf branch to see how many conferencing resources are in active use and detect when the device is approaching its conferencing capacity, and polls acPerfIvr counters to track IVR session load during a call-center traffic spike. The acPerfBct and acPerfTt branches provide equivalent usage/performance statistics for blind call transfer and test-trunk functions, letting an operator spot an overloaded media-processing subsystem before call quality degrades. No specific leaf object names were available in the source data, so counters are described at the group level.

What Can Be Monitored

  • IVR service performance/load
  • blind call transfer (BCT) statistics
  • conferencing resource usage
  • test trunk (tone generation) statistics
