What Is ATM-FORUM-SRVC-REG?
ATM-FORUM-SRVC-REG is a vendor-neutral MIB from the ATM Forum that lets a UNI device advertise the ATM network services available at each of its ports, such as LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS) addresses. It exposes a service registration table keyed by port and service ID, mapping each entry to an ATM address. This is a service-discovery/configuration MIB rather than a hardware or performance one, but it is used operationally to confirm that clients at a given port can discover the services (like LECS) they depend on. It is built on ATM Forum UNI and LAN Emulation (LANE) signalling standards. It is deployed on ATM switches that support LANE and need to advertise service locations to attached devices. Engineers can download the ATM-FORUM-SRVC-REG file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll atmfSrvcRegTable/atmfSrvcRegEntry indexed by atmfSrvcRegPort and atmfSrvcRegServiceID, and check atmfSrvcRegATMAddress against atmfSrvcRegLecs to confirm the correct LECS address is registered for LAN Emulation clients at that port. A missing or stale registration entry would explain why LANE clients at that UNI port fail to locate their configuration server.
