Description: MIB for managing port configuration, Spanning Tree, IGMP, TFTP firmware downloads, and port mirroring on the Allied Telesis 8324SX switch

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ATI-8324SX-MIB?

ATI-8324SX-MIB is a legacy Allied Telesyn MIB dedicated to the 8324SX stackable switch, covering port configuration, Spanning Tree, IGMP, TFTP firmware downloads, and port mirroring. It exposes a per-unit switch info table alongside overall stack size and expansion slot state. Its monitoring emphasis is explicitly hardware/software status: main board and agent board hardware/firmware version, POST diagnostic code version, and power supply status, which together reveal a firmware mismatch across a stack or a power fault on an individual unit. It is a standalone, self-contained legacy enterprise MIB predating Allied Telesis's later unified MIB suite, with no dependency on other standard MIBs evident. It is deployed on legacy Allied Telesyn/Allied Telesis 8324SX stackable switches in wiring closets. Engineers can download the ATI-8324SX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ATI-8324SX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Allied Telesis/Allied Telesyn 8324SX switch

Monitoring Examples

switchInfoTable/switchInfoEntry, indexed by swUnitIndex, exposes swMainBoardHwVer, swMainBoardFwVer, swAgentBoardHwVer, swAgentBoardFwVer, swAgentBoardPOSTCodeVer, and swPowerStatus. An administrator would poll swPowerStatus to detect a power supply fault on a stacked unit, and compare swMainBoardFwVer across all units counted in switchNumber to confirm firmware consistency in the stack before performing a TFTP-based upgrade.

What Can Be Monitored

  • main board hardware/firmware version
  • agent board hardware/firmware/POST version
  • power supply status
  • number of switches in stack
  • expansion slot status
