What Is ARRIS-MIB?
ARRIS-MIB is the enterprise root MIB for ARRIS Group's broadband product line, defining the top-level OID structure under which all ARRIS-specific product and management MIBs register. It contains only header/registration branches (arrisProducts, packetport, cm110, arrisProdIdCM, arrisProdIdCMTS, arrisProdIdMRC) used to identify ARRIS cable modem, CMTS, and residential gateway product families by sysObjectID, rather than exposing runtime telemetry itself. As a pure registration module it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; that data lives in the specific ARRIS product MIBs (cable modem, CMTS, gateway) that hang off this tree. It is a structural prerequisite for the broader ARRIS MIB family, including CMTS and cable modem management MIBs. It is used in cable operator networks wherever ARRIS cable modems, CMTS platforms, or gateways are SNMP-managed, and viewing ARRIS-MIB in a MIB Browser confirms it contains only these registration branches with no runtime telemetry defined directly.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ARRIS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- CommScope/ARRIS SURFboard G54 (2023) — DOCSIS 3.1 quad-band Wi-Fi 7 cable modem/gateway
- CommScope/ARRIS SURFboard S33 — DOCSIS 3.1 multi-gigabit cable modem
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only product-identification and registration nodes (arrisProducts, packetport, cm110, arrisProdIdCM, arrisProdIdCMTS, arrisProdIdMRC) and no runtime scalars or tables, so there is no direct monitoring scenario. Its role is to let ARRIS cable modem (arrisProdIdCM), CMTS (arrisProdIdCMTS), and residential gateway (arrisProdIdMRC) MIBs register a consistent product sysObjectID.
