Category: Device Management
Description: ANS CO+RE gateway services management for high-speed network interconnection.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ANS-GS-MIB?
ANS-GS-MIB is an Advanced Network Systems (broadband access equipment, built on ANS-COMMON-MIB/ANS-EQUIPMENT-MIB) proprietary MIB reporting ATM user-port and service-port bandwidth/addressing detail on a subscriber access node (NIU/STU). Its user-port table, keyed by system-node/subrack/position/index, records port type, max/available downstream/upstream bandwidth, VPI/VCI ranges, label, operational/admin status, usage state, and ATM format, while a companion service-port table extends similar fields. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm available ATM bandwidth and VPI/VCI range on a subscriber access port. It is deployed on Advanced Network Systems broadband access nodes. Engineers can download the ANS-GS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ANS-GS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Advanced Network Systems broadband access nodes
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks ansAccessUserPortAvailBwDs and ansAccessUserPortMaxVpi to confirm remaining ATM bandwidth and VPI range on a subscriber access port.
What Can Be Monitored
- ATM port bandwidth and VPI/VCI range configuration

RFC description
Ericsson ADSL access network service MIB for managing access user ports, ATM formats, and service configurations.
Start monitoring Advanced Network Systems (ANS CO+RE) broadband access nodes (legacy) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
