What Is ACC-RADIUS?

ACC-RADIUS is a vendor-specific SNMP module for ACC/Ericsson access routers that manages the router's RADIUS authentication and accounting client, covering server addresses, shared secrets, and retry parameters. It primarily exposes configuration data for the client's connection to RADIUS authentication/accounting servers rather than hardware telemetry. Its monitoring value is largely around software/service configuration correctness — confirming RADIUS server reachability parameters and retry settings are properly configured so that subscriber authentication and accounting continue to function. It depends conceptually on standard RADIUS protocol semantics (RFC 2865/2866) even though it is a proprietary MIB. It is used in dial-access or DSL aggregation deployments where ACC routers authenticate subscribers via RADIUS, making the ACC-RADIUS MIB a key reference for verifying authentication service configuration in such networks.
