What Is AC-ANALOG-MIB?

AC-ANALOG-MIB is an AudioCodes enterprise MIB covering the analog voice interfaces (FXS and FXO ports) found on AudioCodes media gateways used in VoIP-to-PSTN interworking deployments. It exposes configuration and operational-status objects for each analog port, such as signaling type and per-port administrative/operational state. As a hardware/software status MIB it lets an operator confirm whether individual analog ports are in service or reporting a fault condition, which is central to catching hardware problems on gateway analog line cards. It is generally used together with AudioCodes' broader AC-SYSTEM-MIB and performance MIBs rather than standing alone, since it covers only the analog port layer. It is typically deployed on AudioCodes Mediant-series gateways connecting legacy analog phones, fax machines, or PBX trunks into a VoIP network. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the AC-ANALOG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
