Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is A3COM-HUAWEI-RCP-MIB?

A3COM-HUAWEI-RCP-MIB is a Huawei 3Com Technologies proprietary MIB managing RCP (Redirect Control Protocol) server functionality, which redirects client traffic across a load-balanced group of interfaces. Its objects cover server enable status, connection/rule timeouts (with max values), max/current connections, balance-group ID range, total users/client IPs, a user table (name, password, redirect interface/balance-group, row status), a client-IP table (type, address, row status), and a session table. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm RCP user redirect assignments and current connection load. It is deployed on Huawei 3Com RCP-capable gateway devices. Engineers can download the A3COM-HUAWEI-RCP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in A3COM-HUAWEI-RCP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei 3Com RCP-capable gateway devices

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks h3cRCPServerCurConn against h3cRCPServerMaxConn to confirm an RCP server isn't approaching its connection capacity on a Huawei 3Com gateway.

What Can Be Monitored
