Description: Provides Auto Flow Classification policy configuration and traffic-class statistics on H3C devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is A3COM-HUAWEI-AFC-MIB?

A3COM-HUAWEI-AFC-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from H3C (formerly 3Com, now part of Huawei's networking lineage) that defines the Abnormal Flow Clean (AFC) system, an anti-DDoS traffic-scrubbing feature. It exposes configuration and status data for attack-detection policies, including target IP addresses under attack, detected attack types, applied mitigation policies, and configured rate thresholds. Its monitoring value is squarely in security/fault status: administrators use it to watch for active DDoS attack conditions and notification traps rather than classic hardware health metrics like temperature or CPU. It is a self-contained enterprise MIB with its own notification objects (h3cAFCNotify) and does not appear to depend heavily on other standard MIBs. It is deployed on H3C routers and switches equipped with anti-DDoS/traffic-cleaning hardware or software modules protecting a network edge. Engineers can download the A3COM-HUAWEI-AFC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in A3COM-HUAWEI-AFC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C routers and switches with anti-DDoS/traffic-cleaning modules

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll or trap on h3cDDosAttackTargetIP, h3cDDosAttackType, and h3cDDosAttackPolicy to see which internal host is currently under attack, what kind of attack was detected, and which mitigation policy the device applied. h3cDDosAttackThreshold and h3cDDosAttackSpeed reveal the configured trigger threshold versus the actual observed traffic speed, letting an operator confirm whether a spike genuinely breached the threshold. The h3cAFCNotify trap fires when a new attack event occurs, giving near-real-time alerting for abnormal flow conditions.

What Can Be Monitored

  • DDoS attack target IP
  • attack type detected
  • mitigation policy applied
  • configured rate threshold
  • observed attack traffic speed
  • AFC attack notifications
