Description: The value of this object indicates the ONU authentication mode. ONU authentication may be used in one of the following modes: mac - ONU registration using MAC address; sn - ONU registration using SN; hybrid - ONU registration using SN,MAC address or authentication key and password; loid - ONU registration using authentication key and password; snPlusMac - ONU registration using both MAC address and SN.
What is sysOnuAdminAuthMode?
Selects how the OLT authenticates registering ONUs system-wide: by MAC address, by serial number (SN), by a hybrid of SN/MAC/LOID-password, by LOID (logical ONU ID) and password, or by SN plus MAC together. Getting this wrong is a common reason legitimate ONUs get rejected — a technician provisioning by SN when the system is set to mac mode, for example, will see registration fail.
