Description: Manages Xytronix Research environmental monitoring devices including temperature, humidity, and I/O sensors.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is XYTRONIX-MIB?
This proprietary MIB from Xytronix Research covers the company's X-410 series environmental and I/O monitoring devices, which are standalone network-attached sensor/control units. It exposes digital input readings, relay outputs, an analog voltage input, and general-purpose registers, reflecting the device's role as an environmental and I/O monitoring appliance rather than a networking device. Its monitoring value is squarely in hardware status: digital inputs report dry-contact sensor states (e.g., door or leak sensors), vin reports an analog voltage/temperature-related reading, and the relay objects both report and control output relay states used for alarms or equipment control. It has no apparent dependency on other MIBs, being a self-contained vendor product module. It is deployed as a small standalone network environmental monitor placed in data centers, equipment closets, or remote sites to watch conditions like door contacts, water leaks, or power presence. Engineers can download the XYTRONIX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in XYTRONIX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Xytronix X-410 environmental/IO monitoring unit
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll digitalInput1 through digitalInput4 to check dry-contact sensor states (e.g., a door or leak sensor tripped) and read vin for an analog voltage/environmental reading. The relay1 through relay4 objects, along with relay1PulseTimer/relay2PulseTimer, show whether output relays are active and for how long, useful for confirming an alarm-triggered relay correctly pulsed to activate a siren or notification circuit.
What Can Be Monitored
- digital input sensor states
- analog voltage input (vin)
- relay output states
- relay pulse timer duration
- general-purpose register values
