Description: An index value that uniquely identifies a port. The port identified by a particular value of this index is the same port as identified by charPortIndex in the Character MIB [11].

What is latPortIndex?

This is the index value uniquely identifying a character port row in the latPortTable, and the same numeric index used for this port in the Character MIB's charPortIndex, letting an admin cross-reference LAT-specific port settings with the port's general character-port configuration.
