Description: Number of seconds between transmission of local service announcements. Corresponds directly to SERVER MULTICAST TIMER and the value labeled 'Multicast Timer:' in the SERVER CHARACTERISTICS display.

What is latMulticastTimer?

This sets, in seconds (10-180), how often the server multicasts announcements of its local services to the network, corresponding directly to the SERVER MULTICAST TIMER setting; an admin lengthens it to reduce broadcast chatter on a busy LAN.
