What Is XIO-HUB-MIB?
XIO-HUB-MIB is a vendor MIB from Xiotech for its XIO storage hub/wiring-concentrator devices, covering port configuration, link status, and traffic statistics for the hub. It organizes data into identification, environment, status-data, and physical-device branches, exposing device identity, environmental conditions, overall operational status, and per-port physical link/traffic data. It is squarely hardware status monitoring: environmental readings (e.g., temperature/power) indicate physical health, overall hub status flags device-level faults, and per-port physical device state reveals a failed or degraded link on the concentrator. As a vendor-proprietary MIB it typically relies only on the standard SNMP MIB-II framework for basic connectivity rather than depending on other device-specific MIBs. It is deployed in Xiotech storage-area-network wiring-hub installations where multiple storage devices are fanned out through the hub, making XIO-HUB-MIB SNMP monitoring valuable for catching port and environmental faults early.

An operator would poll xioHubEnvironment to check environmental sensor health, xioHubStatusData for overall hub operational status, and per-entry link state under xioHubPhysicalDevice to detect a specific hub port that has lost link or is failing.
