Module: XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-EXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-EXT-MIB::xcmJmxJobAdminOperation
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.253.8.83.1.2.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: XcmJmxJobAdminOperation
Access: read-write
Description: The current or most recent administrative operation on this job (submitted via SNMP, IPP, or any other job control protocol).
Usage: Conforming management agents shall ALWAYS 'reject' any SNMP Set-Request to 'xcmJmxJobAdminOperation' while another job operation request is already in progress (i.e., while 'xcmJmxJobAdminInProgress' is 'true'), with 'badValue' (SNMPv1) or 'inconsistentValue' (SNMPv2/v3).
What is xcmJmxJobAdminOperation?
This value reports and lets an administrator set the most recent administrative operation requested on a specific print job (such as cancelJob, holdJob, releaseJob, or restartJob per the referenced textual convention), submitted via SNMP, IPP, or another job-control protocol; per the source, a set request is rejected while another operation on that job is already in progress. A print-fleet administrator uses this to remotely control an individual queued or printing job, for example cancelling a stuck job via SNMP. For example, setting xcmJmxJobAdminOperation to cancelJob(3) on a specific job's row would request that job be cancelled on the device.
