wfNmlAddSecurityHeader

Module: Wellfleet-NML-MIB

OID (symbolic): Wellfleet-NML-MIB::wfNmlAddSecurityHeader

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.1.1.5.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates if Security header should be added and verified or just verified on egress of this circuit

What is wfNmlAddSecurityHeader?

This read-write enumerated object controls how the router handles a network security header on egress for a circuit, with options to add(1) and verify it, only check(2) an existing header, or drop(3) it, defaulting to add(1). Admins configure this based on whether this router is the originator of secured traffic or just a relay verifying headers added elsewhere. For example, setting this to check(2) on a mid-path router would verify existing security headers without adding new ones, appropriate for a device that isn't the traffic's security endpoint.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.1.1.5.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-NML-MIB::wfNmlAddSecurityHeader

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.1.1.5.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> Wellfleet-NML-MIB::wfNmlAddSecurityHeader.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.1.1.5.2.1.4.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wfNmlAddSecurityHeader.1
