wwpLeosPbtTransitTunnelEtypeRemark

Module: WWP-LEOS-PBT-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-PBT-MIB::wwpLeosPbtTransitTunnelEtypeRemark

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.38.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this object will enable or disable remarking of the EtherType field in the B-Tag (tunnel) portion of PBT frames that are transiting through the device without PBT encapsulation, nor decapsulation. While enabled, applicable PBT transit frames egressing a PBT enhanced port will have their B-Tag EtherType marked with the value configured as the wwpLeosPbtTunnelTagEtype.

What is wwpLeosPbtTransitTunnelEtypeRemark?

Read-write enabled(1)/disabled(2) switch (default enabled) controlling whether frames merely transiting the device (neither PBT-encapsulated nor decapsulated here) get their B-Tag Ethertype rewritten, on egress from a PBT-enhanced port, to the value configured in wwpLeosPbtTunnelTagEtype. Disable this if downstream devices expect the original transit B-Tag Ethertype to be left alone.
