Description: Since OAM loopback is a disruptive operation (user traffic does not pass), this attribute provides a mechanism to provide controls over whether received OAM loopback commands are processed or ignored. When the value is ignore(1), received loopback commands are ignored. When the value is process(2), OAM loopback commands are processed. The default value is to ignore loopback commands (ignore(1)).
The attribute has no meaning if the local OAM entity does not support the loopback function (as defined in wwpLeosOamFunctionsSupported).
What is wwpLeosOamLoopbackIgnoreRx?
This sets whether this port ignores(1) or processes(2) incoming remote-loopback requests from a peer; the default is ignore(1) since being put into loopback disrupts normal traffic on that port. An admin sets this to process(2) only when they intentionally want to allow a remote peer to place this port into loopback for testing.
