Description: Indicates whether the local device should attempt to indicate a critical event has occurred via the OAMPDU flags field to its peer OAM entity. If the system does not support dying gasp capability, setting this object has no effect, and reading the object should always result in 'disabled(2)'.

By default, this object should have the value enabled(1) for Ethernet like interfaces that support OAM. If the OAM layer does not support event notifications (as indicated via the OamFunctionsSupported attribute), this value is ignored.

What is wwpLeosOamCriticalEventEnable?

This enables(1) or disables(2) whether this device signals a critical-event indication to its OAM peer via the OAMPDU flags field; if the hardware doesn't support this capability, reads always return disabled(2). Like dying gasp, it defaults to enabled(1) so critical local faults are proactively communicated to the peer rather than requiring separate polling.
