Description: The number of LLDP frames received by this LLDP agent on the indicated port, and then discarded for any reason. This counter can provide an indication that LLDP header formatting problems may exist with the local LLDP agent in the sending system or that LLDPDU validation problems may exit with the local LLDP agent in the receiving system.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system, and at other times as indicated by the value of wwpLeosLldpCounterDiscontinuityTime.

What is wwpLeosLldpStatsFramesDiscardedTotal?

A running counter of LLDP frames this port received and then discarded for any reason; a rising count can point to LLDP header formatting problems on the sending neighbor or validation issues locally, and resets are marked by wwpLeosLldpCounterDiscontinuityTime.
