wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr
Module: WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB
OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.16.1.1.6.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: InetAddress
Access: read-write
Description: The Inet address for the configured DNS Server. This OID must be used in conjunction with wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddrType. The InetAddress specified here will be compliant with RFC 4001.
What is wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr?
This read-write value holds the IP address, in RFC 4001 InetAddress format, of a configured DNS server, used together with wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddrType to specify whether it is IPv4 or IPv6. Admins use this pair of objects instead of the legacy wwpLeosDnsServerAddr when they need to configure an IPv6 DNS server, or want version-neutral addressing generally. For example, setting this to 2001:4860:4860::8888 with the type set to ipv6 configures that public IPv6 resolver as a DNS server for the device.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.16.1.1.6.1.8 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.16.1.1.6.1.8.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.16.1.1.6.1.8.1 s <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr.1
