wwpLeosDnsServerAddr

Module: WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-LEOS-DNS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpLeosDnsServerAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.60.16.1.1.6.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: The IP address for the configured DNS Server. wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr cannot be set at the same time. This OID will be set to 0.0.0.0 when the server has an IPv6 address, which is shown in the wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr and the wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddrType is set to ipv6. For a server with an IPv4 address, the ip address will be shown in this OID and the wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr with the wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddrType set to ipv4.

What is wwpLeosDnsServerAddr?

This read-write IPv4 address configures a DNS server for the device in the legacy IPv4-only table, and is mutually exclusive with setting wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddr; it reads as 0.0.0.0 when the corresponding server is actually configured with an IPv6 address via the InetAddress-based columns instead. Admins use this object when adding a traditional IPv4 DNS server to the device's resolver list. For example, setting this to 8.8.8.8 configures that address as one of the device's DNS servers, while wwpLeosDnsServerInetAddrType for that row would then read ipv4.
