Category: Witness Systems Call Recording
Description: Manages Witness Systems call center management platform configuration and recording workflow status.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is WITS-CSCM-MIB?
WITS-CSCM-MIB is a Witness Systems (Verint) companion MIB that extends the base ContactStore MIB with objects specific to the Communication Manager (Avaya CM) integration, covering call recording channel and trunk-link configuration on that platform. It exposes a channels table describing each recording channel's designation, type, operational state, target extension, codec, and free-text comment, plus a separate links table and count for the underlying trunk/link connections used to capture calls. Its monitoring focus is on the operational status of individual recording resources: witscscmChannelState reveals whether a specific channel is actively recording, idle, or failed, which is central to verifying compliance recording coverage, and witscscmLinksCount/witscscmLinksTable show whether all expected trunk links are up. This module explicitly depends on and extends WITS-CS-MIB for shared ContactStore identity and health objects. It is deployed on ContactStore servers integrated with Avaya Communication Manager PBX environments in contact centers. Engineers can download the WITS-CSCM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WITS-CSCM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Witness Systems / Verint ContactStore integrated with Avaya Communication Manager
- PBX call recording integration appliance
Monitoring Examples
An operator would walk witscscmChannelsTable/witscscmChannelEntry, indexed by witscscmChannelIndex, to check witscscmChannelState and witscscmChannelCodec for each recording channel and confirm active channels match the expected extension list in witscscmChannelTarget. witscscmLinksCount compared against a configured baseline reveals whether a trunk link to the Communication Manager has dropped. witscscmChannelsDetails and witscscmLinksDetails provide drill-down views used when troubleshooting a channel reported as down or in an unexpected witscscmChannelType.
What Can Be Monitored
- recording channel state
- channel codec
- channel target/extension
- channel count
- trunk link count
- link details
