Description: The desired administrative state of the VPLS service. If the administrative status of the Vpls service is changed to enable then this service is able to utilize the pseudo wire to perform the tasks of a VPLS service. The testing(3) state indicates that no operational packets can be passed.
What is vplsAdminStatus?
This object sets the desired administrative state of a VPLS instance: up(1) to allow it to use its pseudo wires and function as a VPLS service, down(2) to disable it, or testing(3) to put it into a mode where no operational packets are passed. Admins change this to bring a configured VPLS service into or out of active operation. For example, setting vplsAdminStatus to up(1) after provisioning a new service enables it to start forwarding customer traffic over its associated pseudo wires.
