ubiLdpRouterId

Module: UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB::ubiLdpRouterId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7800.100.24.3.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description: This entry set the router-id to the supplied IP address. The router uses this address to generate the LDP-ID. If you does not set this feild and the ubiLdpEnable attribute is enabled, then LDP Module automatically generate the LDP-ID. The algorithm for making ID is not covered in this description. please refer to RFC 5036 2.2.2. LDP Identifiers.

What is ubiLdpRouterId?

This value sets the router ID used to generate the router's LDP Identifier; if left unset while LDP is enabled, the LDP module automatically generates an LDP-ID per the algorithm described in RFC 5036 Section 2.2.2. Admins set it explicitly to control which stable, unique address is used to identify this router in the MPLS LDP domain, rather than relying on automatic selection. For example, setting it to a loopback address like 10.255.255.1 ensures the LDP-ID stays stable even if physical interfaces change state.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7800.100.24.3.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB::ubiLdpRouterId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7800.100.24.3.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB::ubiLdpRouterId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7800.100.24.3.1.1.2.1 a <value>
